Your data, clearly explained
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what UPSC Garden collects, why we use it, who helps us provide the service, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
UPSC Garden is an educational preparation product operated by Autobot Industries Pvt Ltd (“UPSC Garden”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Our website is upscgarden.com. Questions about this policy can be sent to support.upscgarden@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: your mobile number and authentication identifiers; your name or email only if you choose to provide them.
- Preparation profile: target attempt year, preparation stage, initial subject strengths and onboarding choices.
- Learning activity: questions attempted, answers, scores, test history, topic mastery, sprints, streaks, garden progress and Bob interaction checkpoints.
- Subscription records: plan, payment status, provider references, renewal and cancellation status. We do not store your UPI PIN or full bank account details.
- Device and notification information: push-notification token, device platform and notification preferences where you permit notifications.
- Technical information: service requests, timestamps and limited diagnostic information needed for security and reliability.
3. How we use information
- authenticate your account and restore your progress after sign-in;
- calculate scores, mastery, plant growth, revision priorities and recommendations;
- deliver Current Affairs, planned sprints and requested notifications;
- start, renew, cancel and support Premium subscriptions;
- prevent abuse, protect accounts, troubleshoot failures and improve reliability;
- meet legal, tax, accounting and payment obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your learning answers to make decisions about employment, credit or government-exam eligibility.
4. Services that process data for us
We use service providers only as needed to operate UPSC Garden:
- Google Firebase: phone authentication and push notifications.
- Convex: application database and backend processing.
- Amazon Web Services: secure delivery of app assets and hosted content.
- Razorpay: payment processing and subscription mandates when payments are enabled.
- Google Play: app distribution and, where selected, subscription or payment services.
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep account and learning data while your account is active. Under the Premium policy, locked learning progress may be retained for 21 days after access ends so it can be restored if you renew; it is then scheduled for deletion unless retention is required for security, dispute resolution or law.
You can delete your account inside the app from Me → Account → Delete account, or use our web deletion process. Account deletion removes your profile and learning progress. Limited payment, fraud-prevention or legal records may be retained for the period required by applicable law. Backup copies may take additional time to cycle out securely.
6. Your choices
- Decline or disable notifications in Android settings.
- Review and manage your subscription in UPSC Garden, your UPI app or Google Play, depending on how you paid.
- Request access, correction or deletion by contacting us from the mobile number connected to your account.
7. Security and children
We use access controls, authenticated backend requests and transport encryption designed to protect your data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
UPSC Garden is intended for government-exam aspirants and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can delete it.
8. Updates
We may update this policy when the product, providers or law changes. We will publish the revised effective date here and provide additional notice in the app when a material change requires it.
